Follows a group of military superhumans consisting of a human leader, a werewolf, a vampire, a Frankenstein’s monster, and a gorgon. Gunn then greenlit the project when he became CEO of DC Studios. Series writer and creator James Gunn appears in the opening credits with a laptop typing up a script. .

Appeared in AniMat’s insane animated film The Cast: The Return of the King (of the Hill) (2023). Following a similar plot to The Suicide Squad, we join a team of imprisoned monsters sent on a mission. Positives: *Character-focused. *No need to do homework and watch 50 hours of movies to know what’s going on.
*The action choreography is spot on and easy to follow
*The animation style is fresh and fits the story well. Mixed: -Gunn’s humor often feels forced due to outdated references and witty dialogue. -Not my favorite needle drop considering his talent for finding the right feel. Final Thoughts: -I wasn’t expecting a new superhero genre formula, but I’ve seen this type of show plenty of times before.
