However, he came up with the idea for this third film and was involved as an executive producer. The first two Paddington films were very entertaining and full of charm, alongside some great cameos.
This film never really gets going and you wonder what happened to the screenwriters
In general, the performances are a bit clunky or barely fleshed out and there are few laughs to be had. A real shame, because Paddington 2 in particular was a gem, carried mainly by Hugh Grant’s awesomeness but ably supported by the prison crew.
Paddington 3 is very average in comparison
it would have needed a much better script, more fleshed out characters and funnier action scenes. An hour after watching it, you may barely remember it…
