CNN cameraman Margaret Moth fearlessly captures war zones. Premiere at Sundance with Christiane Amanpour, directed by Lucy Lawless. I saw this at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival."Never Look Away" is an engaging documentary about photojournalist Margaret Moth and is presented with insightful discussions, good presentation and a strong sense of direction and tone. Documentaries about photography and war are not new because the documentary structure is not something grand or amazing, but the core of its emotional message, the direction and style of the documentary still made the investment strong and many conversations and concepts well explored. Moth is an interesting person and the documentary speaks well of who she was, her influence on her work and what made her special. While there is some cheesy use of music and some of the editing choices are a bit confusing, overall I enjoy it.
